đź’Consider the Source: Why Information Matters in the Perinatal & Postpartum Journey

In today’s hyper-connected world, expecting and new parents are flooded with advice—some helpful, some confusing, and some downright overwhelming. From social media threads to well-meaning friends and family, the sheer volume of information can leave parents questioning their instincts and feeling unsure about what’s “right.”

As someone who supports families through every stage—from the first trimester to the fourth—I want to gently remind you: not all advice is created equal.

🧠 How We Internalize Information Matters

When you're sleep-deprived, hormonal, or navigating new routines, even casual comments can stick. A friend’s story about sleep training gone wrong, a viral post warning against certain birth choices, or a stranger’s unsolicited opinion on feeding—all of it can shape how you feel, what you fear, and how you parent.

That’s why it’s so important to ask: Where is this information coming from? Is it rooted in evidence, or emotion? Is it empowering, or anxiety-inducing?

🔍 Peer Support vs. Evidence-Based Guidance

Let’s be clear—peer support is invaluable. Community, shared experience, and emotional validation are essential. But when it comes to decisions about your body, your baby, and your wellbeing, you deserve guidance that’s grounded in physiological understanding, research-based practices, and compassionate care.

Fear-based advice often comes from someone’s personal trauma or unresolved anxiety. While their experience is valid, it doesn’t mean it’s universally true—or right for you.

🌿 You Deserve a Thoughtful Ecosystem of Care

At The Maternal Concierge, I offer support that’s tailored, evidence-based, and emotionally attuned. Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or building sustainable sleep routines, my goal is to help you feel informed—not overwhelmed.

You don’t need to parent from a place of fear. You can parent from a place of clarity, confidence, and connection.
